Question:
How do I change the display to read Fahrenheit? (It currently displays Celsius)

Answer:
Locate the "Extra Function" and "Confirm/Cancel" buttons on the wireless remote. Press the "Power" button to turn the wireless remote "On". While viewing the LCD display on the wireless remote, tap the "Extra Function" button multiple times until the temperature is displayed in °F. Immediately press the "Confirm/Cancel" button to lock in the selection. (The "Confirm/Cancel" button must be pressed within 5 seconds of reaching the desired selection; otherwise the remote will revert back to the previous setting).

Question:
The temperature displayed on the wall unit shows a higher temperature than what my thermometer on the table does, why?

Answer:
The unit is mounted high on the wall where air in the room is normally at a higher temperature, therefore, the reading will be higher.

Question:
The indoor fan operates all the time when the system is in cool mode.

Answer:
This is a normal operating condition. The indoor fan needs to be operating to draw air across the indoor unit sensor to determine the temperature of the room for cycling the outdoor unit on and off.

Question:
How do I make the system operate in Fan mode?

Answer:
Locate the "Extra Function" and "Confirm/Cancel" buttons on the wireless remote. Press the "Power" button to turn the wireless remote "On". While viewing the LCD display on the wireless remote, tap the "Extra Function" button multiple times until the "Fan" icon is displayed. Immediately press the "Confirm/Cancel" button to lock in the selection. (The "Confirm/Cancel" button must be pressed within five seconds of reaching the desired selection; otherwise the remote will revert back to the previous setting). The system will now operate in "Fan" Mode.

Question:
Is there a humidity percentage setting for Dry mode?

Answer:
No. In Dry mode, the system will continually run at a reduced cooling speed to remove humidity without substantial cooling. It does not monitor humidity levels.

Question:
On a multi-split system, can one indoor unit operate in Cool mode at the same time another indoor unit is operating in Heat mode, or vice versa?

Answer:
No, the outdoor unit can provide only one mode of operation at a time. The first unit to turn on sets the mode the outdoor unit will operate at.

Question:
What does the "Health" button on the remote do?

Answer:
This feature is not applicable on systems sold in North America.

Question:
There is an icon displayed on the indoor unit in the shape of Christmas tree, what does that indicate?

Answer:
The icon indicates the "Health" button has been pressed. Press the "Health" button one time to turn the icon off. This function is not applicable on systems sold in North America.

Question:
The wall unit display turns off after making a selection with the remote controller.

Answer:
Press the "light" button on the remote control to return the wall unit display to being constantly lit. The "light" button feature is used to turn the wall unit display on and off. Most often used where the unit is installed in a bedroom area where a lit indicator may disturb sleep.

Question:
Can the system be operated if I cannot find the remote controller?

Answer:
Yes. Press the Emergency Run button with a non-metallic pen or pencil. It is in an opening underneath the unit cover on the right side of the cabinet. After the beep, the unit will maintain 75° until the remote is located. Refer to the owner’s manual for operation of this feature.

Question:
How do I install a mini split air conditioner, do I need a HVAC Professional?

Answer:
Yes. Only an authorized certified HVAC contractor can install Haier units. Installing a mini split air conditioner is more advanced than that of a window or portable unit but far less complicated and far less costly than installing central air conditioning system. So for optimal performance and operation we recommend a professional.
